A place to funnel my thoughts, pearls, and radical enthusiasm for our mutual liberation from the rules that hold us back from showing up in the world however we damn please.

This is sparkle punk joy radiated onto the page in prose, reflection, quotes and questions.

Think of the Pearler zine like a paper hug, high-five and pearly pep-talk from me to you.

ISSUE TWO: MOVIE MAKING AND THE GOLDEN TRIAD is a pondering of day dreaming, critics, sages and home. It is also includes the original first draft final chapter of my novel It’s Been A Pleasure, Noni Blake, as a bonus festive treat honouring creativity and trusting your gut.

Pearler Zine started as a shower thought, an audacious whisper that felt full of energy. I’ve come to learn, especially in the last few years, to trust these joy-filled nods. So, I got crafting and this is what poured out and I wanted to share it.

I kept thinking about you as I wrote it, so, it’s a love letter of sorts. I’ve promised myself i’ll create one when I feel like it. I’m trying not to stifle the joy with rules and structure and hustle.

So, like me, she’s chaotic and whimsical and sparkly and each issue will be whatever it will be…and I like that i’m only beholden to me in it’s creation and distribution.

So, if you love a Claire&Pearl Instagram post, or a Pearler substack pondering then I reckon you’re gonna love this slightly longer form pearlescent offering, my dear. Or, I at least hope you will.
